Julia Minkowski
Lawyer, managing partner
Julia Minkowski has been involved in the most high-profile cases in France for the last twenty years. Working alongside her mentor, Me Hervé Temime, she distinguished herself early on in proceedings relating to the most important financial and political scandals, before establishing herself as a leading criminal lawyer.
Her experience as a defence attorney, specialized in strategic litigation, is in great demand by individuals and companies, both French and foreign. She is known for her pragmatism, her sharp analysis of the issues at stake and her composure in crisis. Her advice is also much sought-after in the area of risk prevention, bolstered by her deep knowledge of business and media.
Graduated from the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) and the University of Paris II - Panthéon Assas, Julia Minkowski also studied at Columbia University Law School in New York. In 2006, she was sworn in and joined Hervé Temime’s firm. At the age of 30, she became one of his first partners. Together, they achieved notable judicial successes in particularly high-profile cases. Two years after Temime's sudden death, and with fifteen years of partnership in this prestigious law firm, Julia Minkowski decided to found Minkowski & Partners.
She has published an essay entitled ‘Elegy to the Presumption of Innocence’ (Éditions de l'Observatoire, February 2025) and regularly writes feature articles for the national press. Committed to gender equality in the legal profession, she founded the Club des Femmes pénalistes, wrote an essay (‘The Lawyer was a Woman’, Éditions JC Lattès, January 2021), a novel (“Par-delà l'attente”, Éditions JC Lattès, September 2022) and a documentary (‘Tenoras’, Public Sénat, 2022) to promote the place of women lawyers in the profession.
Julia Minkowski has been recognized in the Chambers, Legal 500 and Best Lawyers rankings.
